CloudShare Selected as MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase Finalist
12 May, 2010
CloudShare today announced that it has been selected as a finalist at the first annual MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase. The Innovation Showcase highlights ten outstanding early-stage companies that provide cutting-edge technology and offer new levels of value and advancement to Enterprise IT.
PALO ALTO, Calif. – May 12, 2010
“MIT is all about innovation and leadership, and we developed the Innovation Showcase to highlight companies that embody these traits. CloudShare is one of such companies,” said David L. Verrill, Executive Director of the MIT Center for Digital Business, and the Co-chair of the Innovation Showcase. “The Symposium provides these early-stage companies with a platform to demonstrate their new thinking and approaches to vital challenges facing CIOs in today’s changing economy.”
CloudShare, recently named a ‘
Cloud Company to Watch’ by Network World, has been recognized for its ability to help companies make the transition to cloud-based environments. The technology lets customers instantly deploy multiple, independent copies of their existing demos or training environments from the CloudShare platform using a simple drag and drop format. Companies like SAP, Cisco, VMware and Websense currently rely on CloudShare to support their virtual demo, PoC, and training needs for direct and channel sales.
“CloudShare’s mission is to reduce the time, expense, and complexity traditionally associated with moving virtualized IT environments to the cloud,” said Kevin Epstein, VP of marketing at CloudShare. “The level of recognition we’ve received since launching in December tells us our technology is an attractive and efficient solution for companies looking to reduce their IT footprint and save on operating costs.”
More than 600 CIOs and senior IT executives will be attending the 2010 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium, which will take place Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 7:30 am to 7:00 pm at Kresge Auditorium, MIT (77 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA). The full agenda is available at
