CloudShare Names Steven McDermott as Vice President of Global Sales

Oft-Cited Cloud Computing Company Adds Silicon Valley Sales Veteran to Leadership Team

PALO ALTO, Calif. – June 1, 2010CloudShare today announced the appointment of Steven McDermott as Vice President of Global Sales. In his new role, Mr. McDermott will be focused on new client acquisitions and driving significant growth in both platform license sales and services revenue.

Steve joins CloudShare from Panasas, where he was responsible for the company's double-digit sales growth. Prior to Panasas, Steve served as VP of Sales for Topio, leading the sales organization through the company’s acquisition by Network Appliance, Inc. Previously, Steve held numerous VP and other sales leadership roles at Invio (Veritas), Marimba, Legato and other leading Silicon Valley startups.
