THE BUSINESS: CloudShare Inc. creates IT environments “in the cloud” for its customers. Users can do anything they could do with an on-premise IT system. Initially, it has been used by companies for training, sales demonstrations and proof of concept.
CUSTOMERS: CloudShare’s customers include VMware Inc., Cisco Systems Inc., SAP AG, McAfee Inc. and Websense Inc.
SHORT-TERM GOAL: CEO Zvi Guterman said he wants to establish the company as the de-facto “IT as a service” company. He plans to do this by adding features that will blur the lines between a client’s servers and the CloudShare environment where it is stored.
